Welcome to St. John Neumann Parish

St. John Neumann Parish serves the Roman Catholic community in East Freetown, Massachusetts and is part of the Diocese of Fall River. Founded in 1984, we are young as a parish and young in spirit as well. We strive to give witness to our faith in Jesus Christ by living the gospel and ministering in Christ's name to one another and to the greater community. The parish has continued to grow as we celebrate our gratitude for God's abundant blessings. Our beautiful new church was dedicated in 1988 and we share the grounds of the Fall River Diocese's Cathedral Camp. The  natural setting is peaceful and serene with an abundance of wildlife, trees and fields, and inspiring views of Long Pond from the church. We hope you will come to join us in prayer and worship, in ministry and service in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

New Bedford Deanery Lenten Mission

The parishes of the New Bedford Deanery will host a Lenten Retreat at St. Mary's Church, on Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford, march 22 - 25, 2010. Fr. Stan Kolasa, ss.cc., Director of the Sacred Hearts Spirituality Center, Wareham, MA will lead the retreat titled "The Spirit Alive in the Priesthood of the Laity". Each daily session will be offered two times, 12 noon during Mass, and 7:00PM during the Lliturgy of the Word. Confessions will be available one hour before each session.
